Energy Saving Blind Help
How to measure windows for Energy Saving Blinds
Easy Green Store recommend that our standard roller blinds should be fitted within the recess of a window, and blackout roller blinds on the outside of the recess to prevent excess light shining through gaps in the blind.
The measurements you provide us with will be used as the overall blind size, allowing 35mm of the width to be used for the blind controls.
If you require an energy saving blind to be fitted on the inside of a recess, please measure from the recess size of your window, not the glass size.
If you require an energy saving blind to be fitted on the outside of a recess, we suggest adding 60mm to the width of recess size to reduce light exposure in the room.
If the energy saving blind is to be fitted above the recess, please ensure you provide us with a sufficient drop length to ensure that the blind covers recess.
If you are worried about any protruding objects that may obstruct the roller blind, or if you have any other questions about measuring for energy saving blinds, please contact us.
Energy Saving Blind Controls
"Control Colour" is the colour of the beads that control the energy saving blind.
"Control Side" refers to the side of the Energy Saving Blind which will be used to control the rolling mechanism.
What is a "Front Roll" blind?
"Front Roll" refers to the direction that the Energy Saving Blind will come down from the rolling barrel.
All of our Energy Saving Blinds come Back Rolled as standard, but this can be altered by selecting the "Front Roll" option on the blind ordering page.
We recommend the Front Roll option when objects, such as window levers, may obstruct the roller blind.
If you are unsure about which option to select, please contact us before ordering your roller blind.
